verybody relax for a minute: frightening as the world has become, what with the New World Order conspiracy turning out to be more truth than fiction, the 9/11 Truthers, the neocon PNAC conspirators, Bechtel and Halliburton trying to buy up every drop of water on the planet; even so, every now and again, it's good to slow down for a minute. With what the Evil Empire, the oil companies and multinational corporations are doing to us and the entire planet, certainly we need to fight back the forces of evil. But some of us are more graceful about it than others.
This video is an oldie, 2006, I think it is, but it just hits the target for me. On the third and fourth viewing it still holds up.
he Five justices of the Supreme Court Of The United States, responsible for the Citizen's United decision, deserve nothing less than to be excoriated by all Americans and in the most strenuous terms. Going back to the year 2000, the court has brought untold suffering on the American people through their appalling, unprecedented, indeed, unlicensed by the US Constitution, action of interfering with a national election to appoint a losing candidate to the office of the Presidency. No matter that the Court's was meddling in ways which were actually unconstitutional, nor that their favored candidate was grossly corrupt and demonstrably unsuited to the task. No matter that the other candidate had, in fact, won; and with many more than the required number of votes. To be sure, there was outcry from the predictable sources: Lewis Lapham and others in Harper's Magazine, to their credit, heaped much deserved scorn on SCOTUS. But generally, the American people, acted stunned. At least I would hope that the deer in the headlights phenomena was because they were totally shocked. (But I rather suspect that most people, democrats, liberals and middle of the road swing-voters, actually were experiencing apathy mixed with depression born of a sense of helplessness:
"Oh my goodness! If the Supreme Court says this is the way we ought to do this, then who am I to say no?"
The corporate media tried to pretend that it was not jubilant.
The neo-conservatives and the Evangelical Christians all but danced in the streets.
That was the year, 2000 AD. And it was just a preview of the abysmal times this nation was headed for in the new millennium. Perhaps everyone was too worried about the Y2K computer issue to respond with the anger appropriate to a free people who value their democratic system.
Then only nine years later, The Robert's "Gang of Five" led the Court to, once again, grossly and egregiously overstep their conservative bias, in full knowledge of the assured and overwhelming detriment of the American people and the democratic elective system which the people hold dear. So foul a decision, violates the very fabric of the noble vision of the roots of this nation. Impeachment of the Robert's "Gang", would assuredly become a partisan battlefield, with opposition fueled by corporate dollars; and is, therefore, not a viable option.
Lacking this option, I call upon the Congress to redress this treasonous miscarriage of justice, and pass a new Constitutional amendment which will once and for all invalidate the superior financial power of the Corporation as well as the politically motivated wealthy person. The Supreme Court Justices seem not to know there is a difference between a person and a corporation. So let me remind them: A person is a living, breathing, entity; nurtured by parents who are legally joined in marriage, currently defined by law as between one man and one woman, though that may change soon, and educated; of the age and capability to live and love according to his or her own lights; to render judgments, based on the best education possible, regarding its own welfare and that of others; whereas a corporation is a legal construct, created and licensed by the state for one purpose: to maximize profits.
A solid case has been made in a documentary, entitled appropriately, The Corporation, that Corporations do fit, if one were to consider them as persons, the medical definition of clinical insanity. Certainly they fit the clinical definition of sociopaths. So let us go with the SCOTUS' Citizen's United decision, rotten as it is, and say that a corporation is a person. What the decision is saying is that insane persons have the same rights as sane and responsible citizens.
Let's think about the ramifications of that for a minute: Three of the five offending justices are Bush appointees. This SCOTUS Five, who represent the "court of the last resort", the court created by the founders and provided for in the Constitution, to be the refuge of the ordinary citizen against the special interests of hegemonic wealth, have so violated their sworn duty in an act so vile, that it is difficult to imagine suitable retribution other than rendering all of their decisions henceforth to be invalid, and let us always seek to attach shame and scorn to their names.◊
t is one of those scandals simply too good to let pass unmolested by a progressive blogger. The video tells it all. And I am here to gloat, and don't care if gloating is a deadly sin or not! Actually, I don't think it is. It just isn't a very good idea. But the Christians who have embedded themselves in the Pentagon really need this scandal. I just wonder if some of these Kiddy Porn enthusiasts do turn out to be pontificating Evangelicals.
First we are treated to the dreadful spectacle of Roman Catholic parish-priests who have violated their trust as spiritual leaders. And if a spiritual leader doesn't teach by example, he is nothing. Then we haver the Evangelical preacher who insists he is no longer gay. You see, after a few sessions with an Evangelical ex-gay therapist the homosexual urges are all gone!
"I'm good!" this backwoods charlatan says. "I haven't smoked weed or done meth with male hookers, or sucked on a big, fat, you-know-what in a long time."
And then there is Reverend Jerry Falwell's best buddy, also an Evangelical Just like Jerry. Unfortunately he was found dead by hanging from a rope in a closet wearing not one but 2 suits of rubber, and a big dildo which had been stuffed up his backdoor. Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you, The American Evangelical moralistic zealot.
My point is this: I don't really care how many suits of rubber you want to wear, or if you have an overweening fondness for dildoes, or like to smoke weed, or suck on whatever you like, if that is what you enjoy, and you keep it private, I just don't tolerate hypocrites, especially hypocrites who render judgment on others from the bully pulpit, as these self-professed holier-than-thou folks do. Pentagon and NSA people using computers paid for by my tax dollars to acquire and view really twisted stuff involving children crosses the line. But if you happen to be an Evangelical Christian on top of it you deserve every bit of scandal we can bring down on your head.ଆ

Senate Republicans Block For BP
ure, you voted for that handsome, suave looking Republican gentleman, no longer as young in person as his picture on the poster is. But you don't really notice things like that. He is such a nice man. And once gain he sweet talked you into voting for him for Senator. And by golly, he won and went off to DC to join his buddies in the Senate. And every now and then you call his office to say hello and let him know what is on your mind. His aides, who answer the phones, all welcome you warmly and tell you they will pass on your concerns and you all hang up feeling ever so much better about the world. And I'll bet you think he is working for you and passing legislation on your behalf. Well, it is time to find out the truth about all that.
First off, he is not working for you and doesn't really give a shit if you care or not. No, my friends, he is really working for the corporate giants, like BP, Exxon, Shell and all the other oil companies. Just watch this video. Right here in this video is all the reason why no American can be a member of the GOP. After this video you can never again say, "I didn't know." Now you will know.
his video puts the pieces together concerning the BP oil spill, the fouling of the waters of the Gulf of Mexico, and ultimately all the oceans of the world. Sr. Salbuchi puts forth an astonishing wealth of real information. For example, do you know who really owns BP? The answer may be very unsettling for most people. In fact, the real story of how the BP spill is merely a small part of a much bigger plan, will very likely not be believed by most people.
It is too incredible.
Too Dark.
But such secrets hide in their own negative credibility. Many people still refuse to believe that Lyndon Johnson's Bay of Tonkin caper really happened. It is too hideous to believe that a sitting American president would seek to destroy a U.S. naval ship and all the humanity aboard; yes, sacrifice the lives of hundreds of American sailors, for the profit of a few industrialists and arms dealers. But we have the sworn statements of the captain of the ship and others. Ultimately the attack by the Israeli bombers was unsuccessful in sinking the ship, even though we have the recording of Johnson yelling over the telephone, "I want that goddamn ship on the bottom of the ocean! Do you hear me?!" Ironically, the fact that the ship's captain managed to evade the Israeli bombers was not something he was rewarded for. Although it was a heroic action on his part. One for which most men would have been highly praised and decorated. Instead, he was told that if he ever mentioned a single word about what had happened there, in the Bay of Tonkin, there would be dire consequences to him and his family.
And of course, Johnson's plan was to blame the Israeli attack on the North Viet Namese Communists. That was how he hoped to get into the Viet Nam war.
I mention this Bay of Tonkin episode of American history, only to illustrate how vile and truly incredible the real stories behind the headlines are.
As far as responsible voices of the corporate media talking about this stuff, they tend to stay far away from such volatile stuff. If they were to speak of it, they would be immediately labeled as "conspiracy theorists" and their careers finished. And who would be the first to yell "conspiracy theorist"? Oh, let's say, the New York Times, the Washington Post, not to mention Fox News. The Bilderberg Group wanted the European Union, and we now have the European Union. Bilderbergs then wanted the Euro, and we now have the Euro. Don't think for one moment that they are not all powerful. And also, do not doubt that the inner core of the Bilderberg Group is referred to as the "Illuminati". Don't forget that both Hillary Clinton and Obama attended the meeting of the Bilderberg group in 2008. And that both Hillary and Obama are members of the CFR: the Council on Foreign Relations. And that it was not until the CFR gave their approval, that Jimmy Carter began his run for the presidency. Oh, and that Dick Cheney is a member of the CFR.
Also, that now that the Bilderberg group is getting closer to achieving their goal of world domination they are beginning to allow themselves to be known. But not only are Bill Clinton and Henry Kissinger, members, but so is the Queen of England, the Queen of the Netherlands, the Royal family of Sweden, as well as the heads of the the oil companies, and other CEO's such as General Electric. Don't believe me? Look it up your self.
noticed that the scandalous story in the Oregonian this week, which is a little juicier even, than a step mom suspected of killing her little step son, while the biological Mom and Dad get back together to point the finger at the step mom; even juicier than that, is the story of how former Vice President, Al Gore, once, long ago, groped a woman, a masseuse, in Portland, OR, and apparently, she kept the dress with the cum stains on it, which sounds like what went on was a bit more than a grope.
But the true source of the story is The National Enquirer, that shining example of unsullied ideals representing the very best in American reportage. If you disregard the Enquirer's record of lost lawsuits and the millions it has paid out to celebrities in lost libel suits, you find the quivering image of no less a corrupt publisher, Rupert Murdock. And the story is very much in the purview of the NE. But what it really does is to open up the entire issue, hitherto verboten, of prosecuting a very higher up leader of the nation.
The very thought fills me with joy! As a result of prosecuting a former Vice President for a trivial count, we may then begin to get somewhere in the quest for justice concerning the officials of the Bush/Cheney era.

Surely the issue of an bringing to justice, at long last, an administration blatantly guilty of the most heinous War Crimes would take precedence over the mere "groping" of a masseuse, who, if truth be told, fought off many an enamored customer. Otherwise, why was she involved in a business so closely associated with prostitution that in every major city, Massage Parlors are notorious sex dens?♦
nder Obama's leadership Americans are paying less taxes than at any time since Harry Truman. Yet Republicans and the people in the video below seem totally unaware of this fact. They and the birthers, the accusers of Obama's socialism and anyone else who has a beef against the world have taken to the streets and are demonstrating. What they are demonstrating is little more than their own madness.
These criticisms of this president have no basis in reality. Quite the contrary: Those who see him as a socialist either have no idea of what socialism entails, or else they have drunk RNC Kool-Aid. Those who see him as a fraud are themselves fraudulent.
The mind can be a tricky thing.
Frequently, and especially, when we are filled with self-loathing, a common state of being since Christianity holds as a basic tenet that we are all sinners. We cannot deal with our own feelings of hatred and worthlessness, so we project these very real negative and therefore afflictive emotions onto the world. Rather than accept what is essentially our own responsibility, we go into a strange phenomenal response. Since such emotion is difficult to endure we attempt to ignore it. But as we are born with a mind which is innately honest, the unconscious mind cannot ignore it. But neither can the mind deal with it. Faced with this difficulty or threat to the integrity of one's own personhood, rather than lose control and self-destruct, we go into what is technically known as cognitive dissonance.
Cognitive Dissonance
is what happens when information comes in which does not jibe with our sense of how things ought to be. So the mind spaces it. But that unfortunately does not solve the problem. The accusation is still there, But rather than accept the guilt we project the emotion onto the world. Since Obama is largely an unknown person to us, we latch onto him and project the dilemma onto him. So if I am a fraud and my (Freudian) superego refuses to accept responsibility for being a fraud, rather than crack and destroy the ego, I will Accuse Obama of being a fraud. Result I feel much better about myself, but I scapegoat Obama for my own fraudulence.
We tend to see life not as it is, but as we are.
In the words of Saint Francis of Assissi:
"What you are looking for is what is looking."
From that perspective, these are unhappy people who have lost their sense of self. It may be said they have lost their identity.
If you look at Obama and see only fraud it's because you are the fraud. Your hatred is just a projection of your own self-loathing. Unfortunately most of the folks who fear and hate Obama as a fraud, are mostly suffering from clinical delusional paranoia.
